ALBANY COUNTY GOP & CONSERVATIVE CONFERENCE SPONSORS MORE THAN $18,500 IN LEGISLATIVE GRANTS

2023 Legislative Grants Awarded to Six Community Organizations Serving Children and Families in Albany County

ALBANY, NY – The Albany County Republican and Conservative Conference this week sponsored more than $18,500 in Legislative Grants. The 2023 Grants were awarded to six community organizations serving children, families and other Albany County residents.


“The Albany County Legislature annually recognizes dedicated community members and organizations with Legislative Grants, and it is always a very rewarding day for the recipients and my colleagues alike. I am proud to lead a Conference that sponsored more than $18,500 this year to help support youth sports leagues, aspiring collegiate scholars, and so many other fantastic causes. Congratulations to all those awarded this week for their hard work and dedication to the residents of Albany County!” said Minority Leader Frank A. Mauriello (R-C, Colonie).


Legislative Grants sponsored by the Republican and Conservative Conference will support community organizations including:

  • Colonie Pop Warner Cheerleading, awarded $2,853 by Leader Mauriello;

  • Colonie Little League, awarded $5705 by County Legislators Paul Burgdorf, Peter Tunny, and Patty Schwarz Lockart;

  • Guilderland Field Hockey Booster Club, awarded $2,839 by County Legislator Mark Grimm;

  • Latham Circle Soccer Club, awarded $2,853 by County Legislator Todd Drake;

  • South Colonie Dollars for Scholars, awarded $2,445 by County Legislator Patty Schwarz Lockart; and

  • Trinity UMC Food Pantry, awarded $2,038 by County Legislator Zach Collins.
